Wool

The dye selection for wool fibers needs to consider its adsorption and stability. Commonly used dyes include: acid dyes, metal complex dyes, and reactive dyes. Wool fibers are easily affected by physical and chemical effects, and strong alkalinity and high temperature conditions should be avoided.

Polyester

Polyester fibers (such as polyester) have high strength, wear resistance and chemical stability, but are difficult to dye because of their dense molecular structure and low water absorption. Common types of dyes are:
Disperse dyes: The most commonly used dyes for polyester fibers, suitable for dyeing single colors and gradient colors.
Reactive dyes: Commonly used in blended fabrics of polyester and natural fibers.
Acid dyes: Used for dyeing special functional polyester fibers.
Cationic dyes: Suitable for high-end functional polyester fabrics.
Paint dyes: Mostly used in industrial fabrics and home textiles.

Cotton

Cotton fiber is suitable for a variety of dye applications due to its strong water absorption and good alkali resistance: reactive dyes, direct dyes, sulfur dyes, and vat dyes. By rationally selecting dyes and optimizing processes, cotton fibers can be endowed with rich colors and functions to meet the diverse needs of the modern textile market.

Silk

The application of dyes on silk is an important part of the textile industry. Due to the special properties of silk fibers (soft luster, smooth feel, good hygroscopicity), the dyeing process and dye selection need to be particularly delicate in order to maintain the natural characteristics of silk and give it the ideal color and performance. Commonly used dyes are: acid dyes, reactive dyes, and direct dyes.
Dyed silk is widely used in:
High-end clothing (such as cheongsam, dresses).
Decorations (such as curtains, wall coverings).
Artworks (such as traditional tie-dye and batik).

Denim

The application of dyes on denim is the core link of denim clothing production, giving it a unique color and style while taking into account durability and functionality. The dyeing of denim is mainly based on blue and black. Commonly used dyes include: indigo dyes, sulfur dyes, direct dyes, and reactive dyes. Indigo is a classic dye for denim dyeing and has a unique fading effect.

Yarn

Dyeing of yarn can give fabrics a variety of colors and patterns, and directly affect the visual effect and feel of subsequent fabrics. Due to the wide variety of yarns (such as cotton yarn, wool yarn, silk yarn, chemical fiber yarn, etc.), choosing the right dye according to the material of the yarn is the key to successful dyeing:
Reactive dyes: suitable for natural fibers such as cotton yarn and blended yarn.
Acid dyes: used for dyeing wool yarn, silk yarn and some nylon yarns.
Disperse dyes: widely used in chemical fiber yarns.
Vat dyes: used for high-end cotton yarn and dark yarn.
Direct dyes: suitable for cotton yarn and linen yarn with low washing requirements.
Sulphur dyes: commonly used for denim yarn and dark cotton yarn.

Linen

Linen is a natural fiber fabric that is popular for its excellent moisture absorption, breathability and natural texture. However, due to the structure and characteristics of linen fiber, the application of dyes on it requires special processes and dye selection. Linen fiber is a cellulose fiber, similar to cotton fiber, and is suitable for the following dyes: reactive dyes, direct dyes, vat dyes, and sulfur dyes. After dyeing, linen usually presents natural, low-saturation colors, which is suitable for environmental protection and simple style.
