Vat Red 2R has the following characteristics:

Purple red powder. Soluble in o-chlorophenol, slightly soluble in chloroform, pyridine, and toluene, insoluble in acetone and ethanol. It appears red orange in concentrated sulfuric acid, brown (with green fluorescence) in alkaline sodium hydroxide solution, and orange in acidic solution.

Application of Vat Red 2R

Vat red 2R is suitable for printing and dyeing cotton fabrics, and is also used as an organic pigment.
